Not sure it will be as well easy Panz.
Peradventure wetting and using a polish flat tool to atomic number 26 the embossing out, then to speak, that may reduce it some.

You tin try soaking it in water and see how much it improves. If that isn't enough, soak it again then hit it with a rut gun. Just be careful not to overheat it. I remove imperfections in leather with this method with pretty good success, though they're usually small imperfections.

If information technology'due south just a pressed embossing y'all might lighten it upwards a bit only I have never seen one completely removed. If it's made like the carving washed with the Tandy kits, it has been "carved" with a swivel pocketknife starting time and you tin can forget it. Best to use it inside out equally long as nothing shows through to the mankind side. When ever I've made a mistake doing a petty embossing, I've just had to alive with it or make the mess even more than obvious. Just MHO based on personal experience.

Yep same here. I used to do alot of leather with my male parent and if it is a deep emboss or a carved you lot are just stuck with it. Can make it a lilliputian less noticeable by apartment tooling the entire area effectually it but it withal gonna be at that place.

Can you piece of work effectually it with a unlike blueprint? Like to a tattoo coverup? I mean how big/bad is it?

What's it on Panzer?

For you leather folks, obviously it would be a bunch of work and probable not worth the effort BUT for sake of chat could one wet the embossing and inject the back side with a syringe with air or water to create pressure enough to "puff/fill" the fibers back out? Kind of like leather Botox...did I only say that?

Merely creatively thinking out loud.

That's near what happens when you lot soak it then add estrus. The water expands equally it starts to evaporate, forcing the fibers to expand back out. I made another mistake yesterday with a postage stamp. I had it stamped quite deep too. I put it nether the faucet with the water on hot. A couple of minutes after, it almost completely dissapeared. I used to do this fob on wood when I was cabinet making years ago. After getting little imperfections in leather while wet forming, I decided to give this old trick a shot and it worked. Plainly, it won't piece of work with every flaw, but you might be surprised by how well information technology alleviates the visibility of most.

It's a commercial emboss on a leather patch sewn to sail. (think Duluth pack or Frost River). I will give the warm h2o a shot! Thanks!
